Paper Pukka Necklace

$40.00

Made with paper beads in the style of a pukka shell necklace

The beads themselves are matte white in color. They have an organic, disc shape that create a satisfying texture with the deckled edges of each piece.

Length is 16 inches with a toggle clasp. The length can be adjusted by adding more rings to the chain attached to the clasp, and this can be requested to be done upon ordering.

The process of making the beads includes adding a water-resistant retention agent and archival booking glue to the paper pulp, and a clear coat designed for jewelry to the entire necklace once it is complete. Excessive moisture should be avoided, but there are multiple layers of material that allow for normal wear. The pulp used for the beads is the same archival, high quality material I use for my handmade paper stationery.

This is a lightweight and stylish necklace you won't find any where else. No one will suspect the beads are made from paper, and is always a great conversation starter when you wear it!

This item is ready-to-ship, but custom inquiries can be made-to-order.
